Partner program terms

These operating terms describe the Hotspot Business referral program. Joining does not make you an employee, account operator or authorised representative of the platform.

Application and approval

Provide accurate contact information and explain how you will introduce new owners. Staff review applications and may approve, reject or suspend participation. Your workspace shows your status and the review note. Use your own account and share only your personal referral link.

Introductions and attribution

An approved partner link stores a first-touch referral cookie for 30 days. A new owner registering in that browser within that period is attributed to that partner. Clearing cookies, changing browsers or expiry can prevent attribution. Existing owner accounts cannot be claimed through this program. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, misleading claims and unsolicited bulk messaging are not permitted.

Commission

The rate published in the program and your workspace applies to eligible collected online platform fees in UGX. Commission comes from the platform’s fee, not an additional owner charge. Cash-voucher fees, unpaid credit and other currencies are excluded. Rates apply prospectively and existing entries retain their recorded rate. There is no guaranteed income. Earnings are inactive until the administrator enables a positive rate; fees before activation do not qualify. Suspended periods do not generate new earnings.

Reversals and payouts

Reversed platform fees reverse the related commission, including after payout, and can reduce future available balance. Payout requests reserve the requested amount until paid or rejected. Requests require approval, sufficient available balance and the published minimum. Provide a mobile-money account in your own name. Staff review details and record an external payment reference; this version does not automatically transfer funds.

Privacy and access

Your workspace shows the names and account status of owners attributed to you, your own commission and payout records. It does not provide owner contact details, customer information or network control. Use referral information only for the program and keep it confidential. Referral cookies are used for attribution, not advertising.

Current rates and payout rules are visible before you request payment. For a disputed referral, incorrect entry or account closure, contact platform support. The platform’s privacy information and corporate terms also apply.
